This workshop will discuss Tribes, Tribal sovereignty, and the array of services often provided by Tribes to their citizens. You will learn best practices for community-based organizations to engage and build partnerships with Tribes and Tribal organizations to provide services to tribal citizens. This workshop will also share how Tribes and Tribal organizations have always been community-based prevention practice innovators, and how community-based organizations can celebrate and learn from these innovators in partnership work.

Participants will:

Understand why and how partnerships with Tribal governments, Tribal organizations, and Tribal providers are a key component in providing culturally-relevant services to Tribal citizens.
Learn engagement strategies for cultivating partnerships with Tribal governments and Tribal organizations.
