This training is designed to enhance participants understanding of the school enrollment process. Key topics include: The Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) and its implications for student enrollment, Non-traditional school options available to meet diverse student needs, The impact of trauma on student academic performance and engagement, DCFS Education Policy Rule 314, which outlines education procedures and protections for youth in the care of the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS), By the end of this training session, participants will be better equipped to support students through informed, trauma-sensitive, and policy-aligned enrollment practices.
