This session starts off by diving into the science of why implicit biases happen and how they can show up in our workplace. We explore several mitigation tactics to prevent biases from showing up in our decisions and judgements in the workplace. In a self reflection activity participants identify their own blindspots and why those blindspots are specific to them.

Participants will:
1. Why unconscious biases happen and where they come from
2. Everyone holds unconscious biases, that is what makes us human
3. How these biases can show up in the workplace
4. Mitigation tactics for personal biases
