Monday, September 14, 2026
12:00 pm2:00 pm

During this two-hour webinar, participants will explore the foundations of trauma-informed care and how they can be applied across a variety of child- and family-serving settings. The session will examine how stress, adversity, and trauma shape human adaptation, relationships, and behavior, providing a practical framework for understanding the experiences of both clients and professionals.

Participants will:
1. Describe how stress, adversity, and trauma influence human adaptation and explain how these experiences can shape behavior, relationships, and engagement across the lifespan.
2. Identify the six guiding principles of trauma-informed care and describe practical ways they can be applied in child-, family-, and community-serving settings.
3. Recognize the impact of trauma on both clients and the workforce, including the differences between trauma exposure, secondary traumatic stress, and burnout, and identify strategies that promote resilience and well-being.
4. Identify practical actions they can take within their role to strengthen safety, trust, and trauma-informed practices in their everyday work.
