April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, and at Brightpoint, we honor this important month through our Blue Bow Campaign. We invite you to join us for our Blue Bow Campaign’s virtual workshop that explores the powerful role of hope in child and family well-being lead by Dr. Angela Pharris.

The Science of Hope: A Framework for Practice and Prevention:
Did you know that hope is a scientifically studied protective factor in child abuse prevention? Research shows that parents and children who cultivate hope experience better outcomes in supportive programs. This workshop, led by Dr. Angela Pharris, will provide:

Insights into the Science and Power of Hope
Practical strategies for nurturing hope in families
Knowledge you can immediately apply in your personal and professional life
Dr. Pharris is an associate professor at the University of Oklahoma’s Anne & Henry Zarrow School of Social Work, director of the Child Welfare Impact Institute, and senior researcher at the Hope Research Center. Her expertise in hope-centered and trauma-informed practices has shaped programs that positively impact child welfare and human services.
